Team competition takes place at the Minneapolis Convention Center in the Auditorium located on the first floor.

The MCC Auditorium stage dimensions are 50' wide (front) tapering down to 40' wide (back) and 30' deep (sides). REMINDER - all dancers enter stage right and exit stage left. See diagram for details.
Individual Solo Performances for All American and Performer of the Year take place at the Hilton Minneapolis.
TALENT WINNERS PERFORM DURING BANQUET on the BALLROOM STAGE DIMENSIONS - CONV. CTR.
The Ballroom stage dimensions are 40' wide (front) x 20' deep.
The marley will be laid side to side (horizontally).
The chute is a process where DX guides you from warm-up, to a private, final rehearsal room, then directly back stage for your performance. Don't worry. DX staff will guide you through the process.
There is no formal sound check time.
NEW - Music must be uploaded to your account. DX requires that all teams bring a backup CD, iPod, or USB for all performances in the event of a malfunction of the original music submitted. Music can be picked up at the info desk at the conclusion of each awards session. CD’s that are not claimed at the end of the competition will be discarded unless previous arrangements were made with the DX office.
The first few rows are reserved for competing routine's coaches and fans. See diagram on how to enter and exit this area. Please be courteous to others and depart immediately following your team's performance. If looking at the stage, send your fans down the left aisle and have them exit off to the right.
All award times will be listed on the schedule. Awards are slotted throughout the weekend. You won't need to wait until the end of the event. DX prefers dancers wear their actual costume that they wore for the routine so if they are the winner, they will be dressed in full costume. If this is not possible, then please have your dancers in your team warm-ups. No mix-match outfits please.
Champions will have their official Champion photo taken immediately after the announcement on stage. Coaches should be in the photos. Please sit on the stage or near the front of the stage so if your team is announced as the winner, you can quickly jump into the photo.
CHAMPION RING PICKUP
All title holders will be recognized as Champions of that particular division. Congrats! To showcase this amazing achievement, DX will be awarding official Champion RINGS to all dancers. Please proceed to the Ring Pick-up room immediately following the announcement. DX staff will be waiting for you with a roster to check-off each eligible dancer. Two rings will also be given per winning team to coaches. Additional available for sale. Cost $85.
Credentialed coaches are able to pick up their score sheets after each award session. INDIVIDUAL score sheets will be available on Sunday.
THE ONE FINALS
All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place routines earn BIDS to THE ONE FINALS this year. We are very eXcited to be affiliated with THE ONE and look forward to sharing this opportunity with our teams. There are PAID bids up for grabs as well. This means your competition fees are covered for the winning routine. THE ONE FINALS offers four cities to compete. You decide which location works best for you. Details may be found online.
USASF DANCE WORLDS
DX is also awarding bids to the USASF DANCE WORLDS at Walt Disney World.
SCORE SHEET - 100 PTS.
TECHNIQUE - 30 pt.
EXECUTION - 30 pt.
SHOWMANSHIP - 15 pt.
CHOREOGRAPHY - 15 pt.
COSTUME - 10 pt.
TOTAL POSSIBLE - 100 pt.
Bonus Points - up to 5 additional points may be awarded at the judge's discretion.
Senior and Open divisions will utilize USASF Score Sheets.
