Dance Teacher of the Year

Since 1992, DX has strived to recognize dance teachers who inspire dancers to excel to his or her fullest potential, is an example of integrity for others to emulate, respects others in the dance industry, and conducts his or herself with exemplary professionalism with the National Dance Teacher of the Year honor. Outstanding teachers will be honored at the Gala.

Who should be considered?

Any person or persons who have contributed in a positive way to a program. It does not matter if the teacher is affiliated with another organization, company, gym, or team. If multiple teachers work with your program and you want to nominate them as a group, list all their names on the form.

How can I nominate my teacher?

EMAIL a nomination letter on your teacher(s) behalf no later than JUNE 5th. Feel free to share this opportunity with dance members, parents, or other personnel and have them write a letter on his/her behalf. Nominations should be submitted for teachers who will be attending DX Nationals this year.

When is the announcement made?

The DX Teacher of the Year announcement will be made at DX Nationals, during the Awards Gala.

Since 2015, DX has recognized teachers who excel in the dance world with the Dance Teacher of the Year. Announcement takes place during the Awards Gala.
