Contact DX  to receive your Studio Handbook in the mail. The Studio Handbook contains rules, pricing guidelines, and important information specific to Directors/Teachers.

The DX Studio Dance Nationals is an open competition that includes a semi-formal Awards Banquet recognizing individual achievements of dancers, [All American & Super Star]  directors, and teachers, along with, academic excellence, as well as, the announcement of Distinguished Leaders, National Choreographer of the Year, and National Dance Teacher of the Year honors.

The highest scoring productions will compete in a dance-off to determine overall champions. The Production Battle of the Best is for line/production numbers. NEW - Judges will select routines from each award session to return on Sunday for our Callback Challenge. Solo, duo, and trio finalists from DX Regional events [Amaze, Majestic, and Eclipse] will be invited to take part in our Parade of Stars special performance too. You definitely won't want to miss it.

DX will also offer the All American Talent & Scholastic program at the Studio Nationals. Individuals submit transcripts, resumes, and essays, prior to arrival, and then take part in a private interview with judges, on-site and compete their solo. The All American honor recognizes the individuals who encompass the entire package; talent, academics, and personality. NEW - The highest score from each category and age group will be recognized on stage during the Awards Banquet.

Master Classes are are open to all for a nominal fee. Individual Super Star skills competitions are also on the schedule. The event includes our trademark "Purple Party" Celebration Dance.

NATIONALS - CASH AWARDS

Cash prizes adjusted when there are less than 750 routines attending nationals. All cash prizes awarded to the studio. Refer to handbook for details.

SOLOIST HIGH POINT GRAND CHAMP receive a $100 scholarship, Grand Champion jacket, individual crown, individual and studio banners, studio recognition on stage, lapel pin, and a special rhinestone added to the studio plaque.

DUO/TRIO HIGH POINT GRAND CHAMP receive individual crowns, individual and studio banners, studio recognition on stage, lapel pin, and a special rhinestone added to the studio plaque.

ALL GRAND CHAMPS receive a banner for the studio, lapel pin, and a special rhinestone added to the studio plaque.

OVERALL FINALISTS will be announced on stage during each award ceremony. Each dancer will receive a lapel pin. The number of entries in each category/division will determine the number of finalists announced.

ACADEMIC RECOGNITION

Recognizing Academic Excellence

Dance Xtreme understands the importance strong academics play in molding athletes into successful individuals for life.  High academics is the foundation for success.  DX encourages all teams to submit the Studio Academic Excellence Form so they may be recognized for this outstanding accomplishment. One Academic Banner will be presented to each qualifying studio.

PARKING information

SELF-PARKING in the South Ramp located directly underneath the hotel is $16 per day, includes “in and out” privileges if the attendee or overnight guest goes to the front desk, advises the front desk that he/she will need “in adn out” privileges and pays the $16 parking fee at the front desk; front desk then validates the ticket for “in and out” privileges or provides chaser tickets for the “in and out” privileges. Self-parking is based upon availability.

VALET PARKING is available based upon availability at time of arrival for $25 for overnight and $10 for event parking.

COMPLIMENTARY SELF-PARKING is also available in the East and West Mall of American ramps. If you are a registered hotel guest and are parking overnight in either of these lots, bring the make and model of your vehicle, as well as your license plate number, to the front desk upon check-in. The Hotel team will inform the Mall of America team of your information. Mall of America’s team will two cars which are parked overnight in those two ramps that have not been registered with the hotel as staying at the hotel on that same night. If you are an overnight guest of our hotel, our recommendation is to first check-in at our front desk and drop off your luggage. Then self-park your vehicle and fill out the required parking form with the required information and then turn it back into our front desk.

NOTE: Parking pricing and availability is subject to change and hotel assumes no liability for any damage or loss to vehicles parked in any of the parking ramp options.

BUS PARKING overnight is available in the north parking lot of the Mall of America. Parking is complimentary to the tour operator if the tour operator registers the bus with Mall of America security through the Radisson Blu Mall of America. To register, please provide to Radisson Blu Mall of America:

  1. Company name on the bus

  2. License plate number of the bus

  3. Name of bus driver

  4. Cell phone number of the bus driver where Security can reach the bus driver 24 hours per day

  5. Name and number of tge Tour Escort, as well as, the tour company

  6. All of the above information needs to be supplied to the hotel a minimum of 7 days prior to the buses arrival. Contact the front desk for details (952) 851-5258.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
