“The high cost of adoption made it seem out of reach for us to have a family, but knowing this assistance was available and with support of family, we had hope that we could manage it. Thank you so much for the wonderful news that we were awarded a grant from Peyton’s Promise.”

“We don’t know how to begin to thank Peyton’s Promise and their many generous donors for making adoption possible. “Thank you” honestly doesn’t seem strong enough to convey the depth of our gratitude. Adoption is truly a humbling experience that has taught us gratitude in a way that we could have never fully comprehended before.”

#6 MATTHEW

—————

Shawn, Greta and Matthew from Indiana

June 2013

“Peyton’s Promise changed our lives by bridging the financial gap we faced in adopting Matthew. We knew we wanted to adopt for awhile, but the financial hurdle was the biggest obstacle we faced. When we discovered The Gift of Adoption, we were so excited that resources such as these existed. We applied and very quickly received notification that we were awarded a grant. We were absolutely thrilled. With the grant we received from Peyton’s Promise, we were able to lessen the gap between what we had and what we owed and, in addition, got a huge boost to our faith. Almost all the expenses have been paid now and it wouldn’t have been nearly as easy without the help of Peyton’s Promise. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful generosity. God bless you for the work you’ve done for us and for the work you’ll do for other forever families.”

“For us, adoption had to be a bit of a financial leap of faith, because we don’t have a lot of disposable income. Because of the Peyton’s Promise grant we received, we can pay our loan back faster and start saving for the children’s ongoing education.”

#14 MIAH

—————

Nitza and Miah from Illinois

June 2023

“Miah’s arrival was a huge surprise. I feared that the final adoption fees would put me in debt, which created a huge amount of stress. The Peyton’s Promise grant alleviated that stress. I am so lucky that I am able to provide a nurturing, loving, consistent and safe home life for Miah.”

Our Story

Dylan was born without a hitch. We began trying for a second child when he was two. After five years of infertility ending with eight rounds of invitro and two miscarriages, we decided to adopt.

Our Blessing

After going through the lengthy process and being put in the adoption book, we received a phone call about a baby girl born and the birth mother had chosen our family for placement. We suddenly had a new baby girl and couldn't have been more thrilled. Three years later we had another surprise; we were pregnant and baby Greyson was born.

Peyton’s Promise

After completing all the steps, we learned how expensive it was to adopt. We began Peyton's Promise to help more children find their own moms and dads and become forever families.

Want to apply for the Peyton’s Promise Grant?

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Peyton’s Promise Adoption Grant. Families must have the child and/or be in the process of completing an adoption.

Peyton’s Promise works side by side with GIFT OF ADOPTION (GOA) FUND.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Start the application process here. https://giftofadoption.org/apply-for-a-grant/

  2. Be sure to mention that you heard about Gift of Adoption from “Peyton’s Promise”.

  3. The GOA will be send us all applications who have qualified.

  4. DX reviews those who qualified and selects a family for the “Peyton’s Promise” Grant.

You will have to qualify for the grant program like all other applicants. The grant selection process is 'blind' - meaning the grant selection committee members do not see names or referrals of the applicants.
